Tortilla Rollups
Posted by Brooke on Monday Dec 21, 2009 Under Define RandomI have this thing about food bloggers: I love them. I want to be them. But I’m not very good in the kitchen. So I’m not them. I talk about random crap instead. Fantastic, no?
If you think about it, it’s a brilliant idea. Being a food blogger, that is.
- You pick a subject.
- You take pictures of the subject.
- You blog about the subject.
- You eat the subject. G-E-N-I-U-S!
So today I’m playing food blogger. Not that I am one. But I wanted to eat my subject.
I chose a very simple yet very yummy subject: Tortilla Rollups. They’re so easy to make that not even Uncle Eddie could mess this one up. For reals. As the food-blogger-wanna-be, I say make these for your next holiday get together.
Tortilla Rollups - 12 flour tortillas - 8oz cream cheese (softened) - 1 cup sour cream - 1 4oz can of green chiles - 1 cup of salsa - 12oz of shredded cheddar cheese - some chopped red bell pepper and green onion 1. Put everything but the tortillas [and the kitchen sink] in a bowl and mix well. 2. Spread onto tortillas and roll up them suckers. 3. Refrigerate overnight. 4. Slice into bite-size pieces and plate. 5. Watch your friends devour them and think they’re store-bought.

I’ll make a deal with you. You be a food blogger for a day and I’ll be a photo blogger. Sound good?
ps. You were meant to be a food blogger! the rollups and the cookies look a-mazing. I wasn’t hungry until I read both of those posts.
