I had a lot of fun with this challenge.  The days are starting to get longer which makes shooting inside [out of the cold] easier.  And it allows me to move around the house more – my kitchen has more windows than any other room but does not leave much to the imagination.

I was hoping to hit up my parents house and find their old 1970s suitcases but instead I used a case of the hubs.  Not exactly a suitcase but it has a handle and it has clasps and it did the trick.

Here is my suitcase:

I have various angles and takes on this case.  I even tried a shot with Chase [the camera avoiding doggin] and let’s just say she looks scared as shit even though she got a ton of treats out of it.  But this one is my favorite.  The color and the depth of field gives a little something.  I’m not sure what but I like it.  I think it’s the shoes.  Yeah, we’ll go with that.

Moving on to next week: the challenge subject is “blue.”  And I’ve already got my idea ready to execute.  I just need people.  Yes, I meant that to be plural.  If you haven’t gone to the flickr pool yet, what are you waiting for?  Go!  Enjoy the wonderful photos [and join the challenge]!!
