I know that some people (like Mrs. Rev) don’t want to know the next subject until after she’s completed the current week’s assignment. She says it keeps her from thinking ahead. Good point. But me? No way. I have a notebook that I scribble all my ideas into. Not just for the challenge but most are for the challenge.
I’m a planner. That’s what I do. It makes me feel more prepared. And I like spending extra time in the stationary aisle at the store (by the way TJ Maxx has the best notebooks).
So for blue, I had a few ideas lined out. Like a friend in a UK shirt. Being from Kentucky, you see them everywhere but I didn’t want to have choke down my vomit feel like it. And I’ve had my eye on the old sky blue truck in the parking garage but there really isn’t enough light. Or my blue post-it notes is some order or chaos.
But then I had the money idea. How I love money ideas. Especially when they work. Because then they become money shots.
Here is my blue:
I had a casting call at work. OK, not really, I just asked a bunch of people to wear their blue jeans on Friday and whoever was available, to follow me. And then I lead them into an alley and mugged them and took all their money. OK, not really, but we did go down an alley and hung out for about 15 minutes.
I’ve decided I am no good at giving direction. No good. That being said, I think this turned out pretty cool. I did some cropping. I did some [obvious] post-processing to give a grungier look. But I like the final product and I had fun creating it.
Thank you, fabulous co-workers, aka awesome models, for letting me borrow your stems. I really appreciate it.
Next week’s challenge is “door knob.” I’ve got to see what I have scribble in my notebook for that. Don’t forget to check out the flickr pool’s photos to see everyone else’s photos. Or click on the Challenger Roll page to view the challengers’ personal flickr streams and blogs. There’s some good stuff out there.
