Week 38: Music

I’m sick of saying it but it’s true: I am stumbling.  I can’t even get my behind out of bed in the morning, how am I suppose to interpret “music” with a photograph?  I had so many ideas for this week too.  And I did none of them.  Well, I did try to photograph myself doing the moonwalk but we can classify that as an epic fail.  I don’t know exactly what my problem is.  But you can call me Miss Lazy Bones.

Here is my music:

Week 38: Music

At least my 50mm doesn’t let me down like my dance moves.

The office I work in can be compared to a treasure chest.  There are all kinds of goodies floating around this place.  Whether it’s the few props we have for video shoots or the small collection of beer bottles or the stuffed unicorn that magically showed up over the weekend or just the things people keep at their desks.  Treasures.  Like this transistor radio.  They sure don’t make ’em like they used to.

Next week is a color challenge: black.  I pray that I can come up with something fun and interesting and cool for next week.  And that this crappy weather disappears for a while.  But until then, head on over to the flickr pool to see what these creative folks thought up for music.  I’m betting that there’s more storytelling going on over there.

shoutabyss - That’s a beautiful shot! That’s the thing these challenges do – they force you to be creative in ways you wouldn’t have otherwise even have thought of. Your results prove the effort is worthwhile! This shot reminds of home electronics with my dad when I was a kid. It takes me back…

shutterboo - Thanks – so when are you joining the challenge? I mean, we’re on week 38 and we’re only going to 52. You can play along for a couple months. :)

shoutabyss - Speaking of being taken back … my camera is the Nikon Coolpix 4100. It came out in 2006! I can’t even remember that long ago! :) It’s a point and shoot. It would be like accepting the challenge with a disposable 110 camera. I do have a nice old school Pentax SLR but it runs on real film and requires real developing. I could try with my Nikon P&S but I’d only be able to acheive the “participant” ribbon – just like track in elementary school! :)

I’m loving the picture taking lately, though, so maybe I’ll try.

And no fair on the moonwalk teaser. You must follow up on that!

cynthia - That’s a great interpretation of music. I wished I had thought of it, myself. I’ve been wanting to join your challenge for quite some time now and can’t seem to get started. I thought “music” would get me track but nope. Maybe, I’ll have better luck with “black”.

shutterboo - Well it’s only a challenge and it’s only as challenging as you want it to be. As we’ve gotten further along, fewer people post but I’m still having a fun time with it. You should do it. :)
