Week 40: Skyline

I. Am. So. Lazy.

I had a plan.  I told myself to stick with the plan.  Monday came around and I threw said plan out the window.  I’ve noticed that if any challenge plan I have involves a) visiting places I’m unfamiliar with or b) driving far, I don’t follow through. Lame.  (BTW, lame is the word of the day.  I’ve already emailed Big Bro twice notifying him of his lameness.  Try using it in a sentence today.  Or as a sentence.)

I wanted to go to southern Indiana for this week’s photo.  I know how to get there, where to park and know my way around pretty well.  But the thought of walking around an area that is somewhat unfamiliar, by myself… yeah, I psyched myself out.  Sorry HoosierLand, I didn’t pay a visit.

My back up: Skyline Chili.  Come to find out, they closed the one on Market Street.  Guess who didn’t feel like driving to another one and standing outside to take a picture of a sign that is 20 feet above her head?  I should have just called Nikki and gone to her Skyline.  She wouldn’t judge me.  Sorry Nikki, my brain wasn’t working properly.

Here is my skyline:

Week 40: Skyline

Oh yes.  I’m so lazy in fact that I didn’t go anywhere for this challenge.  I had an hour to burn at the office (it’s my slow season right now) and I took it upon myself to do my best Bob Ross impersonation, happy little trees and all.  Proud of my drawing skills but I let myself down in the photography department.  I even told PodMate, “If this wasn’t my challenge, I’d totally skip this week.”

So I’m hoping that some other people captured “skyline” because I want to see some goodies.  You should want to see them too so go on and head over to our flickr group.  Comments are welcomed encouraged so feel free to say hi.  Next week’s subject is “hot”.  That shouldn’t be too hard considering the temps are fluttering around 90 in this neck of the woods.  I think summer is here, kids.

Susan the Pod-Mate - I love this skyline! I also love that you didn’t take it down from the pod, so now when I turn around, I can still see it. It’s very calming and pretty.

Nikki - I wish you would have called!! :) I showed this to my owner and he said I needed to put a Skyline Chili picture up so you would have one. :) Going to work on that today!

shutterboo - I know… I’m lame.

Wendi - No lame for you! You just put a different spin on the theme.

omawarisan - Yeah, what Wendi said. Keep it and draw in someone sunbathing for your picture of hot!

shutterboo - We’re definitely keeping it. I say “we” because it’s hanging up at work. We have no windows in our pod – it’s our window. We seriously sat facing the picture for about 30 minutes discussing clients today. It was nice.
