I don’t usually talk this way, but I think it’s necessary: I’ve had warm fuzzies all week because I’ve been seeing rainbows! So many GREAT photos were in the group this week, filled with color (some to the brim).
I’ve flipped through them all about 12 times now and these just keep holding my gaze. If there’s a photo that you can’t stop staring at, leave a comment on Flickr. We have been a comment-giving fools and I enjoy reading how someone fell in love with their creativeness. This thing has been almost surreal – so many people, so may great photographers, so many uplifting comments. You guys rock my world, right now.

Denise’s work is usually top-notch so I wasn’t surprised when I kept staring at those little pentagonal bokeh reflections. Fit the subject perfectly and was the first rainbow I saw all week.

An experiment! I love it! I always ooh-and-ahh over those water colors in water and ask “how did they do that?” but Nathan decided to figure it out for himself. And I want to shake his hand because I would never do this for fear of staining something.

So many things to love about this one and they’re all called SPRINKLES! The focal depth is wonderful (we all know how I’m a narrow DOF junkie… it’s not for everyone but I luz it), the colors pop and I really just want to jump into a big pile of these things.

Another great idea to capture color. The light on the right almost gives the ball life and there’s so much texture in the rubberbands. It’s a really great shot.

Everything that Philippa has sent to the group has been soooo goooood! Her control shot was beautiful and haunting. And she turns around and pulls out the fun storytelling with this little number. I kind of wish I’d taken it.

School supplies! Self-confessed obsession with crayons and pencils and such – I automatically fall in love with photos of them too. And there were several in the group to choose from but the color saturation and reflection on the table make me love this one the most.

Homeboy here knows light. Being that we’re friends, I’ve been stalking admiring his photos of his youth group for years and how he captures light. But Jason… this is just yummy… I might make it my computer wallpaper next week. Just sayin’.

I love this for two reasons. One is that it’s not a rainbow or any bright color at all. And two is that it’s still so colorful! Great idea to turn to spices – I commented that it felt like I smellovision which tells me that it’s picture perfect.

You didn’t think I’d pass this up, did you? Please. nomnomnom The cake looks incredibly delious (I want to put my face in it) but the styling and lighting are superb too. It makes me want to taste chocolate really, really bad. Really bad.
Keep ’em coming people. I can’t wait to be impressed with “sign” because I’m drawing a big, fat blank.
