At first, “fear” might seem difficult to capture in one week’s time. After snooping around the Flickr group, I’d say that you guys had no problem whatsoever. There are some really good photos this week! You people are so frickin creative and clever and I think this might be my favorite week so far. So I wanted to post a spotlight reel.
Looks of fear. A series of self-portraits. That is a fear in and of itself because I have never had eight shots I was happy with in one SP shoot. Never. And I love this. High-fives all around.
Fear of being beat. Ha! Clever is back for the win. You can expect that anything that is remotely witty, I’m in love with it. This totally qualifies.
by Space-Case (aka PodMate)
Fear of alien invasions. So PodMate’s photo makes me really happy for two reasons. One is that it, too, is clever and the colors are like whoa. Two because she loves it and I see it as her screensaver when I walk past her desk.
Fear of the Blair Witch. That movie freaked me out. For the record, I’ll confess I’m easily freaked out. But with this fun fella reenacting the flashlight scene… I’m not so freaked out. I’m actually smiling. Great idea and framing, Shelly.
Fear of someone watching. So. Frickin. Creative. I haven’t seen a keyhole in a door in years but this is such a fun, and very creepy, to interpret “fear.” Yes. Very creepy.
Fear of public speaking. Hits home. I can pull off a presentation but there is no promise that I won’t start talking with a thicker accent and/or remove layers of clothing to keep from sweating in front of people. And I really dig the processing on this photo.
Fear of bed monsters. Oh Victoria!! Colors and reflections and fear, oh my!
Fear of rejection. This here is a marketing vampire. This puppy is so cute that we could possibly overlook the fact that he did all that shredding on his own. Great shot – and I love the light feeling of the processing.
Vertigo has set in. I can’t stare at this picture very long. But yeah. We got it. Fear of heights. Yeah. Moving on.
Fear of spiders. There were so many cool spider photos in the group. The idea of catching one of these guys for a photo-op isn’t my idea of a good time. But this gal is huge. And her reflection is huge. And she scares me.
I really hope you guys are enjoying the challenge and list of subjects. I can’t get over how fast it’s flying by. And I can’t over how many awesome photos are being shared. Good luck finding “white.” I think I’ve already got mine in the bag.
