I jumped on the challenge train early this week. I took my photo last Wednesday night. The idea just popped in that afternoon and execution went smashingly. My hands smelled like puppy kibble afterward but I’d say it was worth it. She may be deaf but man does she love to sit still for puppy kibble.
Here is my white:
The BDD. I’m sure there are a handful of y’all that probably believe she is such a good dog. She is, about 75% of the time, but that other 25% is unruly. Let me remind you of how she acts in the car. So excited she makes my ears bleed.
Our hall bath is all white. White hexagonal floor tiles, white square tiles in the shower, a white tub – the 70s called, they want their bathroom back. It’s actually not bad. The tiles could be brown or avocado. White is A-OK with me. But my mind went directly to the bathroom. And the only other being in our house that spends as much time in there as we do is the BDD. She enjoys lapping up left over shower droplets, making out with the hubs’ soap bar, walking between the shower curtains, rubbing her big mug on our clean towels. If you haven’t heard me say it before, she’s special. So I grabbed some puppy kibble, locked the dog that can hear out and proceeded to position the BDD alongside my chants of “Work it. Work it.” And I dig the end result.
A color subject opens the creativity of what can be photographed so don’t forget to check out the WPC Flickr Group to see how others captured “white”. There’s also the Challenger Roll – and since there’s so many people in the Flickr Group that aren’t participating, only those who are posting to the group are linked up.
Week 9 is in the bullpen and our subject this week will be LARGE. A relatively simple subject so there can be so many interpretations – I’ve got to get my thinking cap on. Good luck this week and happy snapping!
