I’m like a broken record on here but it’s absolutely, positively true: I have fabulous co-workers. They’re smart, kind, funny, witty, charming… I could go on for five minutes but “fabulous” sums it all up. At one point I decided that becoming friends with people at work wasn’t a good idea – I couldn’t say how happy I am to be proven wrong by these folks.
A couple weeks back, I visited one of these fabulous co-workers over the weekend to capture some photos of her family. I’m amazed that people let me come into their homes after they see how I act around the copier in the office. (Be honest, you shares expletives with the work copier every now and then too.) But Susan is warm-hearted, a lovely woman with a lovely family and I was excited to spend some time with them. Especially that little guy of hers. I turn to mush around her baby boy – he’s just the perfect little homefry. And he’s growing like a weed.
Such a fun session. I was up, down, all around and had the sore muscles to prove it the next day. But it was worth it. Thank you, Susan, for the chance to spend time with your family. My only regret is that I left without hugging on that little guy of yours – I’ll save it up for the next time I see him.
