Love My Cousins

I have so many cousins.  So many.  I like it this way.

Growing up, my cousin Chris and I were closest in age so of course I followed him around.  There would be days that he’d want nothing to do with me and I remember those but my favorite memories of our childhoods are the days when we’d play for hours.  Like the one day we played Batman and Robin for what seemed like forever – I do recall not being allowed to play Batman though.  I was always Robin and had to run behind his bike.  Hmmm….

I remember we all went to Disney on Ice and we had those red and blue lights with the Mickey head on top that would spin round and Chris… well… I’m not sure what happened behind me but the ice skating was so rad.  I also remember the day he made Uncle Timmy so mad and my Big Bro decided to do something about it.  As a team, we totally tried to flush Chris’ head down the toilet.

Chris swears it wasn’t him we tried dunking.  It so was.  Ah, the memories. *flush*

I also remember the first time I met his wife, Pam.  I thought she was gorgeous.  Still do.  Such a beautiful woman – in and out.  And for the past year, she’s been asking me when I was going to take their pictures.  I can now say I’ve marked it off the to do list.

My cousin got lucky when he landed this lady – she’s a peach.

I love my cousin’s family.  They’re just fun to be with.  The kids are growing like weeds – it just seems like yesterday Emilee and CJ were born.  But the older you get, the faster the time flies.  I really can’t wait until the next time we see each other.  Because that CJ is a ham.  I hope you guys like your new family photos – and I hope I get to see some on your walls next time I visit!

Brooke - Every time they’d lean in for a smooch, CJ would smile or clap his hands. It was very cute.

Joan Nova - what a great family album. I, too, love the last one — and Pam looks like Reese Witherspoon.
