Five days passed before I even tried to take this week’s photo. I figured I’d find something red and have no problem setting up a shot. I love it when I’m right. Because I’m usually wrong.
Fabulous co-workers to the rescue. Again. In fact, this would be the third time I’ve used Susan’s clothing to make a WPC weekly photo possible. And I’m reminded of how much I love the stark white walls we have at the office. Not always pleasant to the eye but oh-so-lovely for taking photos on.
I had a series of the coat, probably about 25 shots total. I hung the coat on our long rack that houses some costumes (it’s not as impressive as it sounds, believe me) and after finding the correct exposure (all manual this week, baby), I framed each shot differently. And this is the one that spoke to me. I always seem to enjoy rule of thirds and using negative space. And color. Win-win.
Don’t forget to check out how everyone else captured “red” over on the Flickr group. And there’s the Challenger Roll if you want to poke around some fun blogs. Moving on now to Week 19. Our new subject will be ARTIFICIAL.
Crap. All I can say is put on your thinking caps, my friends!
