I Bulleted My Thoughts

  • ¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo!  I think it should be allowed to intake margaritas all the live long day to celebrate.  Or at least cups of coffee with little umbrellas.
  • I’ve gotten into this great habit of playing Adele in the morning on my laptop.  Without headphones.  I figured it’s OK since a certain someone keeps singing Fiona Apple on his guitar at random times during the day.  Even trade… though I think I got the better deal.
  • Rumour Has It is such a good song.  It might get repeated a few times during my Morning Adele Mix.
  • Other than Adele and the Fiona cover, it’s been quiet in my pod at work.  Too quiet.  PodMate’s moved out of our pod and hopefully on to bigger and better things.  I miss Susan’s company though.  So I bug her about 15 times a day via email instead.  You can take the girl out of the pod but you can’t take away my ability to annoy someone through the interweb.
  • I don’t send Susan that many emails.  I have nothing that important to say and if I want her to hang out with me on her own free will, smothering would get me nowhere.
  • Doesn’t mean I don’t want to though.
  • I’ve been keeping myself busy.  Busy, busy, busy.  So many ideas bouncing around in my head, on paper and in the wide open spaces of any room I may occupy.  One idea includes a facelift for le blog – don’t be surprised if things look hinky over the weekend as I work out the changes.
  • The Chow Wagon.  I’ve been twice now.  The first time I got sunburned on four inches of my forearm.  The second time I froze to death and didn’t even boogie to the live music.  The weather is sucking the fun out this year’s Kentucky Derby Festival.  I will have fun on Saturday though.  I absolutely will.
  • The hubs has his betting window already open on his new, spiffy little tablet [that I didn’t think he needed but purchased anyway].  I have a feeling that Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja might get more attention than the betting window though.  Just a guess.
  • All I have to do is make it through today… because I’m taking Oaks off… and it will be wonderful.

Dawn - You have a dude who keeps his GUITAR in the office and sings Fiona Apple with it during the day? Wow. That’s… something. (Also, yesterday’s earworm-producing tweets now have context. Which, thank you for that, by the way.)

Wendi @ Bon Appetit Hon - Funny you should mention cocktails. A coworker was going to the coffee shop and asked if I wanted anything to drink. My immediate response was a margarita.

Susan - Your emails NEVER bug me, or even come close to smothering me. Send as many as you want. Miss you.

Mr. Rev - can you write a post on why you think the birds are so angry?

katie o. - I would kill for margaritas at work. Might be the only way I could get through the day without wanting to cause serious bodily harm to co-workers.

Denise - mmmmmmmmmm liquor.

Denise - What else did you say?

omawarisan - I just bought angry birds. I can’t stop. I don’t know why.

Todd - Oaks Day. OAKS Day! Oaks Day. Say it enough times, and it sounds like pig Latin.
