Week 19: Artificial

So… did anyone else have trouble getting a photo this week for the challenge?  I only ask because when I flipped through the Flickr Group this morning, it appears I might have been the only one.  Just being nosy…

I racked my brain for subjects that were “artificial” and every idea was bust.  It either wasn’t doable, not in my possession or looked awful after I tried to photograph it.  I had to turn to my trusty sidekick.

Here is my artificial:

Week 19: Artificial

My light box.  My homemade, cardboard and vellum paper light box.   Mrs. Rev, I’m eternally grateful for you sharing your find and your extra box to make my trusty sidekick come to life.  It’s a challenge saver.

And my subject?  Now and Laters.  A staple in my childhood.  A bowl of them sit in my kitchen.  I’ve made a huge dent in the bag of birthday candy Little Skipper gave me.  And I might be rationing the N&Ls I have left.  But they are very, very artificial.  Even says so on the wrapper.  Doesn’t stop me.  But they do happen to be perfect for this week’s challenge.

OK, so make your way to the Flickr group – there were some pretty awesome ideas captured this week.  And don’t forget about the Challenger Roll.  I hope to have it updated with our new Challengers today.  With 19 weeks down, we’re moving on to Week 20.  Hard to believe it’s already Week 20.  Our new subject will be TRACKS.

Interpret it as you will.  Good luck and have fun – can’t wait to see what you share next week!
