Being a sorority girl is for life, Boo! It's being together for four magical years, growing up, sharing experiences, then separating, only to come back together after years or even decades to find the "girl" has become a woman you can admire, respect, and cherish. Glad I too had the experience! Love your description of the yarn/candle reveal -- we didn't do that, but it sounds like fun!

I just wanted to tell you how much I love it when your pictures are posted! Your sincere thoughts combined with your witty sense of humor always manage to bring a smile to my face. These pictures are extra special because I actually know these two beautiful young ladies. You did an excellent job capturing how wonderful their friendship is and the bond of Sigma Kappa. You are incredibly talented and I'm proud to call you my sister.

I had to cut mine. Twice. I still have it somewhere, a huge clump of self-striping yarn that changed colors every couple feet. I totally feel your pain. But I don't think it's meant to torment but rather teach us to be kind and help one another, which was accomplished. Now the fishing line... I think that was pure torment. :)

You know what's extra mean? Having the very last bit of yarn go between a pipe and the wall outside. Because all that whole ball of yarn is wadded up in your hand at that point and there is no way it will go through a half inch space without unraveling it all over again and threading it through. I will never forget Diana helping me to unravel and Julie pulling it through so I could get that darn candle without cheating (although Diana did suggest more than once that we just rip the yarn and tie it back together -- no one would notice!)
