I knew I wanted a face in my photo this week. I just didn’t have many faces to choose from. And I ended up using my own. You’ll forgive me, right?
Here is my surprise:
The surprise, besides my big o’ eyes as wide as they can possibly get, were my glasses. My eyes started acting up again last week and I had to ditch my brand new pair of contacts and bust out the glasses for a few days. Until my eyes get better and are no longer red, itchy and annoying. Boo to my eyes.
I know that this isn’t the first time Challengers have seen the “view through the glasses,” but I really wanted to try it for myself. On myself. I’m here to tell you that it was harder than I thought it would be. Getting the camera to focus on the glass – not the frame, not my hands, not my face – was not an easy task. It took several tries [maybe over 60] but I used my handy little remote [that I'm in love with now].
You need to check out the WPC Flickr Group – so many clever photographers over there. And if you need some mid-afternoon reading, visit the Challenger Roll and see what other challengers are writing about.
On to week 29. Our next subject for the challenge will be ORANGE. Excellent… a color challenge this week. Good luck finding something orange! And as always, happy snapping!

Wendi @ Bon Appetit Hon - Love this Brooke.
omawarisan - Was it tough to get it lined up on your eyes?
Brooke - Lining it up? No. Trying to get the camera focus where it needed to? Yes. The dogs looked at me quizzically for 30 minutes while I tried to get the perfect shot.
