WPC {2011} Spotlights: Surprise

It’s been too long since I’ve spotlighted some Challengers from the WPC {2011 edition} Flickr Group.  So… surprise!  Goes perfectly with this week’s theme too.  After flipping through the group several times, I just can’t get over how many creative people have been brought together because of the photo challenge.  To be encouraged and inspired by someone that lives halfway around the world… I love the internets for that.

I love series.  Sometimes you do need more than one photo to tell a story.  Also happen to love doggins.

William cracks me up!  He has so much character and Miss Shelly does a fantastic job capturing.  I laugh every time I look at this photo – great job modeling, William!

Beer is always a good surprise.  The framing and DOF just draw my eyes down the line of bottles.

Peek-a-boo.  Innocent.  Different composition.  One sparkling eye that holds your stare.

Another SP!  I really love the idea of the party blower, Chrissy.  I think you did a fantastic job with this week’s subject.

Leesha always captures beautiful pictures of her girls playing but this one just looks like so much fun.  I don’t know how you resisted running out there with her.

Surprise
by Mrs. Rev!

I’ve said it a billion times and I’ll say it again: Mrs. Rev is a miracle worker in the color and contrast department.  Bright white, defining black in the right places and pops of blue.  I love it, lady!

In my opinion, the best photos this week.  A part of so many Americans’ childhoods, I thought this was an excellent idea.  The composition sold me.  I love it.

True astonishment – this kid’s expression is so genuine and I kind of sort of like it a lot.

Continue to cheer each other on – I love seeing how many comments fly back and forth every week.  The friendly critiques, the photog-talk, the beautiful images – I hope everyone who’s participating is having fun with the challenge still.  And for those of you who aren’t participating?  I hope you enjoy browsing through the Challenger’s weekly submissions.  Because they’re pretty awesome if you couldn’t already tell.
