There is a severe lack of orange in my life. I count only four things on my desk that are orange and two of them are post-it notes. Every other color of the rainbow exists in abundance. But not orange. I had to make orange happen for me this week.
Here is my orange:
Everybody loves Jell-O, right?
I had one pack of orange Jell-O in the cupboard. “Jackpot!,” I thought. I’ll get a picture and dessert. When I saw the “best by” date was in 2006… well, at least I’d get a picture. But this Jell-O just wouldn’t set right. It could be that it’s five years past it’s prime but it could also be a coincidence.
Armed with my not-setting-cup-o-Jell-O and my hand-made light box, I tried my best. Honestly, I’m ready for next week now. Orange can suck it.
Next week marks our 30th week of the photo challenge – that’s seven whole months, people! And I can’t believe how many Challengers are going strong and still posting each week. You guys rock my face off. For Week 30, our new subject will be (hold on as I pull up the random generator web page… done that one… that one too… repeat… arg… finally) our new subject will be TEXTURE. Have fun cooking up ideas and as always, happy snapping!

Joan Nova - “Orange can suck it.” LOL It didn’t come by me organically either.
Kelly (the dSLR newbie) - You rock our faces off too :) Love your challenge, it guarantees I get out to shoot at least once a week so bravo to that.
Is it weird I want to eat that jello even with the knowledge that it’s 5 years expired? Because it looks goooood!
Brooke - It tasted OK. But I couldn’t bring myself to try more than a nibble. I did give some to the dogs though. Chase gobbled hers up. The BDD had gelatin falling from her mouth – she decided to rub her face in it instead. #FTW
