Over the past few months, I’ve been hanging out in the kitchen and have tried several new recipes. Several. From appetizers to main courses to side dishes to desserts, I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone to see if anything new would peek my interest. And there were a few. But none as much as the peaches and cream pie.
It was simple. Too simple. But sooooooo gooooooood.
I was pointed to a new-to-me blog, a food blog, and was not only blown away by how darn good everything sounded but also how fantastic it looked. This guy, Taylor Takes a Taste, is a wonderful food photographer. And – and this is the super fun part – he explains how he sets up his shots, shows how easy and inventive it can all be. I may have drooled all over my keyboard.
But I took the peaches and cream pie and made it a reality. Mine does not look as beautiful as his… sadly… but I’m willing to bet it tasted just as good.
