Listastic

It’s time for another list.  Because writing full paragraphs takes too much brain power.

  • This is old news now, but did you guys see the Cincinnati/Xavier basketball brawl over the weekend?  BANANAS!  On that same note: IDIOTS!  We’ve said Cincy was thugalicious for years but come on.
  • And while we’re talking about sports, it was decided last night we’re going Bowling.  Look out, Charlotte, we’re heading your way!  Looking forward to a great football game… GO CARDS!
  • Have you ever been with your long-time friends with new babies to the mall to visit Santa?  No?  You should.  It’s hilarious.  Not because the baby has no idea what’s going on but because mom and dad look like goofballs.  I took a mental snapshot that I’ll keep with me forever.
  • Cookie Swaps are the absolute best things in the world.  The only problem I have with them is I eat way too much sugar the day before making my own cookies to bring to the swap.  And then I eat too much sugar at the swap.  And then I fall into a state of hypoglycemia and have no desire to eat more cookies.  It’s quite sad.
  • But my fabulous co-workers love me because they get cookies.
  • And then I get a jonesing for vegetables and eat salads and whatnot.  What in the…
  • Words With Friends.  So much fun.  Hit me up so we can play.
  • No Thanksgivmas this year.  After fighting a calendar and settling on a date, a work function had to go and ruin all our fun.  *wah-wah*  But I do hope we can all at least share a meal together before all the holiday spirit has cleared.
  • Speaking of work functions (aka holiday parties), having a friend at one is the best thing since sliced bread.  The husbands go talk and banter and have fun.  We have each other to keep company when conversations slow down.  It’s brilliant and I love it.
  • I’ve recently seen page views being linked back to Pinterest.  (I love Pinterest.  So will you.)  And I think it’s funny.  I have no problem pinning someone else’s photography epiphany.  But seeing my own being linked back?  I wonder how long it will take for them to know I’m a nutcase that makes up words.
  • Who else is ready for the weekend??

Dawn - I made a list for you!

-My first thought was, “Yay, bowling! I love bowling!” Then I realized you meant going to a Football game and not, say, a dimly lit bulding with pis and lanes and lots of deep fried foods.
-I still love bowling, though. You should definitely go. Fun for everyone! Especially if no one’s very good!
-Perhaps the people pinning you on Pinterest love you BECAUSE of your made up words. I’m just saying it’s possible.
-BRING ON THE WEEKEND. I have one more final between me and it and then ONE MONTH of glorious winter break.
-Also, as of Saturday, I will be 50% done with grad school. How the heck did THAT happen?
-Related to that, I was printing stuff in the computer lab this morning and a first year was studying for her anatomy final. I answered it correctly without even having to think about it. HOLY CRAP I’VE LEARNED STUFF.

J. Smith - I know I look like a goofball ANYTIME we’re having posey-pose pictures. No really. Behind that camera person is a me tweeting like a bird (with corresponding sign language), singing itsy bitsy spider (complete with hand motions), and making generally ridiculous facial expressions. Duncan sort of stands there. Then he tells me I’m an idiot. Don’t care. ;)

shemohn - LOL, I’m sure we look like goofballs. In fact, we are :-). It’s nice to know we’re not the only ones, though. At least we weren’t videoing the entire event with our secret spy ink pen camera ;-)

samara - Hi there: I scoped out your “image” off google for your phototent. Am I ever glad I did. It was hilarious and it is the one I am going to use. It was a great tutorial and I want to thank you. You write your blog really well. I’m enjoying reading it! Great rest for you during the “holidays!” I’m Jewish, so Chinese food and a movie is usually the call for the day! xox Samara Rachel Navi
