Claire {newborn}

When Christian announced she was expecting… well, I didn’t know what to expect.  I knew she’d be a good mother – she’s a no fuss kind of gal that means business but still enjoys life to it’s fullest.  But if you had seen her hold a baby before she held her own, you would have giggled some.  (I know I did.)  Luckily, when Claire finally made her way into the world, Christian scooped her up and had no qualms holding that baby close.  And I have the proof.

Christian and Scott are so funny to be around with this little girl.  The way the talk to her… the words that come out of their mouths… they could be a television sitcom with very high ratings.  But nevertheless, they have a beautiful baby girl.  She might look just like her dad.

Such a sweet, sweet face.  I love her little lips.

And her little feet.  I love little baby feet and little baby hands – so tiny, so much growing to do, exploring to do.

Seeing Christian and Scott admire Claire was a treat.  It always is with new parents.  Especially the news parents who I’ve spent many a fun night with in college.  And now they’re all grown up with a little person in their arms.  It gives me goosebumps.

The good kind.

Congratulations to my friends – Claire is with a doubt precious and I can’t wait to see her grow.  I also can’t wait to hear the phrases she comes up with four years down the road.  I send my best – love and hugs and other good stuff.
