Riddle Me This

Hi. Hi. Hi.

This dog… she and I… we have something.  Something special.

Could be because we spent hours together learning how to roll over, crawl on our bellies and fetch frisbees when she was a pup.  Or because I’m the all time greatest at giving doggin bum rubs.  Or because we fit together like puzzle pieces when we cuddle.  Or maybe even because we talk about how our day has been and I let her tell me all about her squirrel dreams.  Repeatedly.

Who knows why.  But we do.

So tell me then…

How does she go from all this “something special” to “today I will eat food lady’s lunch box without removing it from the table”?  Or how about “today I will counter surf and devour the biscuits food lady left in that Ziplock bag”?  Or even “tis a nice day  to rip apart a pizza box and lick every ounce of garlic butter I drag my tongue across”?

Because I sure as heck don’t get it.

But I think I’ll keep her.

Diane - My poor grand dog is just hungry

Debbie - Your dog is a “food whore,” too?? My Sheltie never met food he doesn’t like (okay, he won’t touch lettuce, but he’s not a rabbit!). Sounds like your doggin — despite her good traits — just couldn’t resist the devil on her shoulder!

rachel - I think it is funny that the smaller dog is counter surfing. Does the BDD do the same? I am fortunate that Roxy doesn’t do that anymore. She used to be notorious for getting into stuff as soon as you would turn your back. The only thing she tries everyday to get into is the cat food. Silly doggin, cat food is for cats! ;)
